A solvent-free, two-component insulating coating based on epoxy resin for use on cooling and ice containers as well as water tanks. VENEZIANI ECOPLAST is approved for food use and therefore suitable for contact with drinking water, fresh and frozen fish, mussels, crustaceans, etc.

The product can be applied to all boat building materials with appropriate preparation and has high chemical resistance. It complies with standards D.M. 21/3/1973 (relating to the hygiene of packaging, containers and equipment in contact with food) and DM 06/04/2004 n.174 (concerning materials and equipment used in plants for the collection, treatment, supply and distribution of drinking water for human consumption).

Application: Clean, degrease and if necessary sand the substrate. Stir base and hardener separately, then mix in a volume ratio of 3:2 (or by weight 2:1). Apply with a brush or short-haired roller. For new coating, two coats are recommended. When working indoors, ensure adequate ventilation. Use personal protective equipment (work clothing, safety glasses, gloves, mask).

Application on aluminum tanks: Direct application on aluminum with VENEZIANI ECOPLAST is not possible. A non-binding recommendation for applications on aluminum is apply an adhesion primer like the epoxy high-build primer VENEZIANI ADHERPOX (Art.No.2519-152). First, thoroughly degrease the surface. Then apply several coats of VENEZIANI ADHERPOX with a roller or brush until a dry film thickness of at least 300 µm is achieved. Afterwards, VENEZIANI ECOPLAST can be applied.
