Fast-drying, solvent-based stain for coloring and tinting wood, available in reddish mahogany shade and reddish brown teak shade.
The stain has a very long color stability and can be recoated with most 1- and 2-component paint systems.
For color intensification, up to 3 coats can be applied to the raw wood.

For repair painting and color lamination of existing surfaces, up to 10% EPIFANES stain can be added to most 1- and 2-component clear coats. Can be recoated after 2 hours at 18°C. Shake well prior to use. Do not thin.

EPIFANES Rubbed Effect Varnish
EPIFANES RUBBED EFFECT VARNISH is a fast-drying, scratch-resistant 1-component clear varnish based on urethane/alkyd resin with a satin finish. The varnish is suitable exclusively for interior areas and creates a warm, silky surface with good resistance to alcohol and common household cleaners. Application: On bare wood, it is recommended to first build up with several coats of high-gloss varnish such as EPIFANES CLEAR VARNISH (Art.No. 2050-001). Then, apply two coats of EPIFANES RUBBED EFFECT VARNISH. Best results are achieved with a soft long-hair brush. Alternatively, spray application is also possible. EPIFANES RAPIDCLEAR wood protection
EPIFANES RAPIDCLEAR is a fast-drying, satin gloss clear varnish based on urethane/alkyd resin with integrated UV filter. The varnish forms a transparent, amber-colored protective film that preserves the natural appearance of the wood grain. RAPIDCLEAR is suitable for interior and exterior applications above the waterline – especially for oily woods such as teak – and can also be used as a quick base coat before high-gloss systems like EPIFANES Yacht Varnish (Art.No. 2050-001) or Hardwood Varnish Oil (Art.No. 2051-050).Application: The surface must be clean, dry, grease-free, and sanded (max. wood moisture: 15%). EPIFANES POLY-URETHANE DD Yacht Varnish Clear
Extremely hard, high-gloss 2-component clear coat with UV filter. EPIFANES POLYURETHANE CLEAR COAT is suitable for interior and exterior use above the waterline in fresh and saltwater environments. The varnish offers very good UV protection, is resistant to water, alcoholic beverages, and mild chemicals, and forms a particularly hard, impact-resistant surface with excellent adhesion to solid wood, plywood, and veneers. Due to its excellent flow properties, it is also suitable for high-gloss finishes with a brush. Application: The two components are mixed in a ratio of 2:1 (base:hardener, by weight) and left to stand for 30 minutes (induction time). Application is done with a brush or spray gun at temperatures from 10 °C and a maximum of 75% relative humidity. A “mist coat” is recommended for the first spray pass. Thinning with EPIFANES PU Brush Thinner (Art.No. 2059-301) or PU SPRAY THINNER (Art.No. 2059-310) is possible. EPIFANES POLY-URETHANE DD Clear Satin with UV Filter
EPIFANES POLY-URETHANE DD-Yacht Varnish satin gloss is a scratch-resistant two-component clear varnish based on saturated polyester resins and isocyanate with integrated UV filter. The varnish is water-resistant, impact-resistant, and resistant to alcohol as well as mild chemicals. It is suitable for wooden surfaces indoors and outdoors above the waterline, especially for dimensionally stable woods such as marine plywood, solid wood, and wood veneer. It is particularly suitable as a satin gloss finish on EPIFANES POLY-URETHANE DD Yacht Varnish clear (Art.No. 2063-900), PP-VERNIS EXTRA Clear Varnish (Art.No. 2063-901), epoxy resins, and existing two-component satin varnishes.Application: Stir the components well and mix in a ratio of 2:1 (base:hardener) by weight and let stand for 15-30 minutes (induction time). If necessary, adjust to application viscosity with thinner. The varnish can be applied with a brush or spray gun. EPIFANES PPvEXTRA Clear Varnish
EPIFANES PP VARNISH EXTRA is a two-component clear varnish based on alkyd resin-isocyanate with a high solids content and excellent chemical and mechanical resistance. The high-gloss varnish is suitable for interior and exterior use above the waterline and can also be used as a sealer on oily woods such as teak, iroko, or Oregon pine. It forms an elastic, high-build protective film with high impact resistance, good gloss retention, and excellent adhesion on solid wood, veneer, and plywood. For optimal UV protection, a final coating is recommended.Application: The substrate should be sanded, dust- and grease-free, and the wood moisture should not exceed 15%. Mix both components and apply with a brush or spray gun after a 15-minute induction time. The first coat can be thinned with 5–10% EPIFANES THINNER FOR 2-C CLEAR VARNISH PP. For exterior use, at least four coats are required. For optimal UV protection, a final coating with a 1-C clear varnish or a 2-C PU clear varnish is recommended. LE TONKINOIS Yacht Oil Stain is a plant oil-based, intensely colored wood pre-treatment for hardwood surfaces indoors and outdoors. The stain penetrates deeply into the wood and creates a uniform coloration with a pleasant feel. It is resistant to dirt and water-repellent, and the pigmentation increases UV protection. In boatbuilding, it is suitable for color adjustment of weathered, repaired, or new wooden surfaces. Treated surfaces should subsequently be varnished with Le Tonkinois Vernis or Marine No.1.Application: The surface must be dust- and grease-free and clean; the wood moisture should not exceed 15%. The stain is applied undiluted with a brush or roller to untreated wood. After a short exposure time, the excess is evenly distributed and removed with a lint-free cloth. It is recommended to create a test area beforehand. The processing temperature should be at least 12 °C.
