LE TONKINOIS Yacht Oil Stain
From
€12.90 *
LE TONKINOIS Yacht Oil Stain is a plant oil-based, intensely colored wood pre-treatment for hardwood surfaces indoors and outdoors. The stain penetrates deeply into the wood and creates a uniform coloration with a pleasant feel. It is resistant to dirt and water-repellent, and the pigmentation increases UV protection. In boatbuilding, it is suitable for color adjustment of weathered, repaired, or new wooden surfaces. Treated surfaces should subsequently be varnished with Le Tonkinois Vernis or Marine No.1.Application: The surface must be dust- and grease-free and clean; the wood moisture should not exceed 15%. The stain is applied undiluted with a brush or roller to untreated wood. After a short exposure time, the excess is evenly distributed and removed with a lint-free cloth. It is recommended to create a test area beforehand. The processing temperature should be at least 12 °C. Walkability is achieved after three days with 2–3 coats.Technical DataField of application: Indoor and outdoor, e.g., boat decks, superstructures, wooden floorsSubstrate: Untreated wood, wood-based materialsCoverage: 35–50 ml/m² (depending on type of wood)Application method: Brushing with brush or rollerDrying times (at 20 °C): Dust-dry after 6–8 h, re-coatable after 12 h, walkable after 3 daysFor more information on processing, please refer to the technical data sheet under 'Downloads'.
