Wooden burgee holder for the traditional burgee (Vleugel) on dutch flat-bottom boats.
Varnished wood.
Lenght = 500 mm.
A copper tube attached with screws serves as bearing:
inside D = 12 mm, L = aprrox. 65 mm.

Wooden burgee holder (Vleugel holder) is used to keep the traditional wind vane - the Vleugel, free of blocks and halyards on Dutch flat-bottomed ships. The vleugel is lashed or sewn to the vleugel wood. A round rod with a diameter of 10 mm is needed as an axle on the mast.

Our burgee holder is made of ash wood and pre-varnished. Holes are provided for sewing on the Vleugel. A copper tube screwed on with clamps serves as a bearing.


Length of the wooden ball: 500 mm.
Copper tube bearing: inner diameter 12 mm, height approx. 75 mm.
