Wooden burgee holder for the traditional burgee (Vleugel) on dutch flat-bottom boats.Varnished wood.Lenght = 500 mm.A copper tube attached with screws serves as bearing:inside D = 12 mm, L = aprrox. 65 mm.Wooden burgee holder (Vleugel holder) is used to keep the traditional wind vane - the Vleugel, free of blocks and halyards on Dutch flat-bottomed ships. The vleugel is lashed or sewn to the vleugel wood. A round rod with a diameter of 10 mm is needed as an axle on the mast.Our burgee holder is made of ash wood and pre-varnished. Holes are provided for sewing on the Vleugel.
