The PHILIPPI VTM 2 Tank Monitor is an onboard monitoring device that displays up to four tank levels and two battery voltages. The readings are displayed on a 3.5-inch TFT color touchscreen. The monitor supports PHILIPPI tank sensors as well as compatible sensors from other manufacturers with resistance, voltage, or current outputs. For each tank, the volume, tank type, and sensor type can be configured; adjustment for non-linear tank geometries is also possible.

Alarm thresholds can be set for tank levels and battery voltages. If these thresholds are exceeded or not met, an audible alarm sounds that can be acknowledged. Additionally, a potential-free relay output with a configurable function is available. A brightness sensor automatically adjusts the display brightness in low-light conditions. The tank sensors are polled at regular intervals; when the voltage drops below 11.5 V or 23 V, the device automatically switches to power-save mode.
