IKAROS line thrower

The IKAROS line throwing device is used to make line connections in maritime emergencies and accidents as well as in overhead line and bridge construction. It is used between ships, from shore to ship or from ship to shore as well as for rescuing people.The robust device consists of a compact, waterproof plastic container with integrated handle and release mechanism, a rocket and 300 meters of high-strength line (4 mm polypropylene, tensile strength 2 kN).The pistol grip allows safe one-handed operation of the single-shot device (see explanatory video).
