The fire safety plan container is a waterproof container for important documents. It is made of red-painted stainless steel to withstand the demands of the maritime environment.
A copy of the fire safety plan and/or evacuation plan is stored inside the 980 mm long tube, which has an inner diameter of 80 mm. This ensures that these important documents and fire safety information remain legible even in an emergency. The container protects the documents from water damage, corrosion, and fire.
The fire safety container weighs 2.2 kg and can be bolted in place using two 100 mm-long mounting brackets.
Fire safety and emergency plans must always be posted for the ship’s crew’s reference and must clearly outline the precautions for each deck in accordance with SOLAS Chapter II, Regulations 15/2.4.1 and 2.4.2.
