CASSENS & PLATH IOTA/1 built-in spherical compass MED

The CASSENS & PLATH IOTA/2 surface-mounted spherical compass with its fully cardanic bearing is suitable as a steering compass for console, wall (bulkhead) or ceiling mounting.The housing, the adjustable hood and the mounting bracket are made of brass and can be stove-enameled black or white. Under the polished mineral glass bell is the fully gimbal-mounted, black counter-sight compass rose with 5° graduation. The apparent diameter of the rose is 100 mm.Supplied with MED certificate (see also "Downloads") and 12 volt red light illumination element.Technical features:Dimensions: 160 x 165 x 127mmBearing: Fully cardanicApparent rose: Ø 100mmRolling clearance: /- 180°Stamp clearance: /- 180°A mounted B C compensation is recommended. The heavy flat glass compass with cardanic suspension is available in two versions.The TYPE/21 bearing/reflection compass is fitted with a brass graduated ring. The brass centre piece, onto which the bearing sight (available as an extra) is attached, is also located on the upper cover glass. This makes it possible to take bearings.The bearing/reflection compass is suitable for use in reflection compass systems and a bearing stand.The TYPE/21 steering compass corresponds to the bearing/reflection compass, but without the bearing ring and centre piece. The outer ring is black here.The steering compass is used as a ceiling or table steering compass or is used in reflection attachments.The TYPE/21 steering compass in the desk binnacle with hood is gimballed in the desk binnacle/160 (suspended in the fore-and-aft direction). The desk binnacle is approved for coastal navigation.
