Description

Spare bars made of Kebony, a teak-like thermowood, for dock cleats, mooring cleats, and bollard cleats. The 30-mm-diameter rods are available in lengths of 150 and 250 mm, while the 40-mm-diameter rods are available in a length of 350 mm.
Neatly finished round wood.

Properties of Kebony

  • Durable
  • Dimensionally stable (minimal swelling or shrinkage)
  • Low-maintenance: can be adequately maintained with saltwater or with grease soap or green soap
  • Resistant to rot, mold, and insect infestation
  • Natural wood appearance. Initially a chocolate-like brown tone; after about 1 year, it weathers to a silver-gray color like teak
  • If the wood is sanded, sawed, or planed (all of which can be done without any problems), the brown
    original brown hue
  • Treatment with varnish or (teak) oil is possible
  • Fully recyclable or can be disposed of like “regular” wood
