This elegant and functional fitting is designed and manufactured by British company DAVEY & CO.The boat hook is made of two parts (sleeve and hook): The sleeve is screwed to a wooden boat hook shank (diameter 35 mm) (shank is not included). A mooring line is spliced into the small eye (D = 25 mm) of the hook. As long as the hook sits on the sleeve, the safety latch remains open.The GRABIT is used as a mooring aid as follows: When mooring, the boat hook is hooked into the mooring ring. The secured hook is then released from the sleeve, the safety latch holds the hook in the ring and the vessel is securely connected to the buoy or jetty with the mooring line.
