With a beautifully crafted heavy brass cylinder and funnel on a varnished mahogany base plate, this horn is not only a safety-relevant (reserve) piece of equipment for larger ships, but also a piece of maritime jewelry.
The loud and deep signal tone is produced when pumping up and down, so a continuous tone can also be produced by pumping faster. The brass tuning diaphragm is adjustable.
