Horse/traveler bronze
Made from special marine brass, the traveler, also known as horse, is used to pass over the mainsail or headsail when going overstay. Stylish on ships with a classic, traditional look, e.g. flat-bottomed ships, open boats or classic yachts.
Beautifully designed, with deck plates and stops. The bracket bar has end threads for bolting to the deck. To accommodate the foot block of the mainsheet or jib sheet, the straight spillway guides a waisted slide or sliding carriage made of bronze, which ensures controlled passing thanks to its wide design.
There are various possible applications. For example, the fitting can be used on the floor of the cockpit or helm or on the aft deck as a mainsheet bracket or in front of the mast as a foresail light carriage. Another application is mounting at the stern directly above the tiller, as is common on Dutch flat-bottomed yachts.
The horse can be supplied in various sizes on request.
