Heavy HYE Tufnol blocks single sheave fixed bracket
Heavy duty single sheave TUFNOL blocks. Made from seawater resistant plastic resin with inside fittings made from stainless steel. This special design guarantees a particularly high breaking load. The blocks are maintenance free and known for particular longevity. The Tufnol sheaves are equipped with brass bearings, keeping wear and friction very low. Also the diameter (D) of the sheaves of these blocks are much larger relative to the specified rope diameter (D1) than with standard blocks. This makes the blocks turn better and makes them in particular suited for 3-stranded cordage and rigid ropes.
The high breaking load are tested by the Germanic Lloyd (GL). The maximum working load specified by the manufacturer is 50% of the breaking load (BRL).
