SOLAS-approved LED lifejacket light SECULUX LED-II.The light can be easily attached to any automatic or solid lifejacket. The battery (62.5 x 25 x 22 mm, 63 g) is connected to the light by a 75 cm long cable.The flashing light (with 50 to 70 light appearances per minute) is activated automatically on contact with water (in fresh or salt water). It can be switched off manually.With an average of 1.5 cd, the light is significantly brighter than the SOLAS minimum requirement of 0.75 cd.Light duration: approx. 10.5 hours. MED / SOLAS approval.The easyRESCUE family of the German manufacturer WEATHERDOCK is allowed to carry the designation AIS-SART (Search and Rescue Transmitter). The world's only AIS distress transmitters with MED / SOLAS approval have a higher transmission power than a MOB (Man overboard beacon), namely >2 W for AIS, >0.5 W for DSC distress call and 50 mW for the 121.5 MHz bearing signal. Thus, their signals are received up to ten nautical miles (with high AIS receiving antenna over 20 nm) away.The housing of the units is extremely robust and reliable. They can withstand multiple impacts from a height of 20 metres onto the water surface, cope with enormous temperature fluctuations and still function at less than -20°C.The small AIS SART updates the position of the person in distress every 60 seconds and transmits the AIS messages 1 (Position report - dynamic dates) and 14 (Safety related message). The activated AIS SART is displayed with a red cross in a circle (the symbol according to IEC62288) on the ships' chart plotters within up to ten nautical miles.With the PRO models, the DSC distress call is initially made in the "closed loop" to up to 8 ships whose MMSI numbers have been programmed in advance via Bluetooth using the free Weatherdock app. If there is no confirmation within ten minutes, there is an automatic switch to the "open loop" and an "all ships call" is sent as an official distress call to the GMDSS rescue chain.There are five different easyRESCUE AIS-SART models, which differ in how they are triggered (manually, by water contact, by pull cord and magnetic switch) and over which frequencies (AIS, DSC, 121.5 MHz homing) they alert (see table).The easyRESCUE A040-BW-COM is used by the German, Dutch and other navies as well as by the Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK) of the German Bundeswehr.The easyRESCUE A040-PRO (BT) model is used by German and Dutch rescue organisations as well as offshore wind farm personnel. In addition to AIS and DSC, a 121.5 MHz signal is transmitted. Over the North Sea and Baltic Sea, older SAR helicopters are still used, which do not have an on-board AIS and therefore prefer this "homing" frequency for finding a person in the water. Lifejacket manufacturers Secumar (models Scout, Survival, Alpha), Mullion, Besto and Viking have automatic lifejackets that are prepared to accept an easyRESCUE AIS-SART.For use in automatic waistcoats from other manufacturers such as Kadematic, Lade, ISP, etc., the stick-on pocket (Art-No. 3921-114) is required as an accessory. Only in this position is the easyRESCUE's antenna optimally aligned for transmitting the emergency signal. This is not the case when the easyRESCUE is floating in water. An inexpensive telescopic boat hook (Art-No. 3221-161), which you can find further down on this page under "Accessories", is suitable for this purpose.

Suitable for all lifejackets with firing mechanisms SECUMATIC 4001S. Replacement cartridges should always be carried along , in case there is an activation of the lifejacket. Comes with two spare pills.Please note that SECUMAR uses two triggering devices with different CO2 replacement cartridges types: - SECUMATIC 3001S with thread, - SECUMATIC 4001S CO2-DOCK with bayonet.
