MICROPUR CLASSIC inactivates bacteria in drinking water tanks, containers and pipes. It preserves clean drinking water and keeps it free of germs, algae and odors.The effect of Micropur Classic is based on the bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties of silver. Unlike chlorine, which acts in water for only a few hours, silver ions make water last up to 6 months. The silver ions attach themselves to the cell walls of microorganisms and thus prevent their growth.MICROPUR CLASSIC can be used wherever drinking water remains in a system for a long time, such as in cisterns or water tanks. It is ideal for water conservation in a boat, camper or caravan.Suitable for clear water, not for muddy water, as suspended solids can impair the effect of the silver ions. Application:Dose MICROPUR into the empty or half-filled water container. Immediately fill the container with the desired amount of clear water. The resulting turbulence serves to mix Micropur Classic and water. Additional stirring is not necessary. If Micropur Classic is added after the container has been filled, the water must be stirred so that the silver ions are evenly distributed. The reaction time is 120 min. For use in tap water of drinking quality. The powder must not be premixed in little water, otherwise the silver will precipitate as insoluble silver chlorite and lose its effectiveness.For use in plastic or glass.
