Every TRUDESIGN part is made from high tensile composite GRP, a glass fibre reinforced Polyamide (6). The advantages are a high rigidity, temperature-resistance -40° to 80° C, resistant to oil and chemicals, of low weight, absolutely corrosion-resistant, electrically non-conductive and therefore especially suited for ship building materials which are galvanically sensitive like aluminium and steel.Every TRUDESIGN fitting has a tapered Whitworth pipe thread BSP (British Standard Pipe Thread) according to ISO 228-1, it is therefore fully convertible with fittings from brass, bronze or stainless steel. The shuttle valves and through hulls are approved and IMCI certificated after ISO 9093-2 (sea cocks and through hulls for pleasure vessels).
