Robust vent loop made of CR brass (CW602N), nickel-plated. The brass loop features BSP internal threads for pipe connection and drilled lugs for screw fastening. All variants are equipped with a ½" BSP internal thread at the top of the bend to accommodate a suitable vent valve, which can be ordered separately as an accessory. The material is resistant to dezincification and offers high corrosion resistance in seawater.This component is used in seawater-cooled exhaust systems as well as in inlet and outlet lines of marine toilets, particularly when installations are located below the waterline or may drop below it due to heeling or rough sea conditions. The vent loop should be integrated into the pressure side of the line at least 20 cm above the theoretically maximum heeled waterline. For inlets, it is also important that the vent loop is installed on the pressure side, downstream of the intake pump.The vent valve and suitable connection fittings – such as hose tails – are available separately. They are not included in the scope of delivery and can be found in the accessories range.For marine toilets, we recommend for example the brass hose tail 1964-019 for 19 mm hose connection (inlet) and 1964-132 for 38 mm hose connection (outlet) as suitable connection fittings.Thread type: BSPThread form: cylindrical, i.e. parallelThe thread sizes are nominal sizes and do not represent the thread diameter.

A very robust 160° vented loop elbow made from GRP with an inserted lip valve and fastening brackets for bulkhead mounting.The pipe, that is to be vented, is led above the water line and is fitted with a vent loop at the apex, thereby effectively preventing the siphon effect at toilets and pump installations and stopping the water from flowing back. TRUDESIGN is the world leader in fittings made from composite materials. From its founding in 1974 the fittings are manufactured in New Zealand. Every TRUDESIGN part is made from high tensile composite GRP, a glass fibre reinforced Polyamide (6). The advantages are a high rigidity, temperature-resistance -40° to 80° C, resistant to oil and chemicals, of low weight, absolutely corrosion-resistant, electrically non-conductive and therefore especially suited for ship building materials which are galvanically sensitive like aluminium and steel.Every TRUDESIGN fitting has a tapered Whitworth pipe thread BSP (British Standard Pipe Thread) according to ISO 228-1, it is therefore fully convertible with fittings from brass, bronze or stainless steel. The shuttle valves and through hulls are approved and IMCI certificated after ISO 9093-2 (sea cocks and through hulls for pleasure vessels).
