EU value added tax
Calculation of VAT for Shipments to Countries of the European Union (EU)
Since July 1, 2021, deliveries to private individuals in other EU countries must be taxed at the VAT rate applicable in the respective delivery country.
The delivery country specified in the delivery address is decisive.
Since VAT rates vary within the EU, the gross prices of the items also vary – depending on the delivery country.
When will I see the final price?
The prices displayed in the shop initially refer to prices including the German VAT rate of 19% or the reduced rate of 7%.
As soon as a delivery address in an EU country outside Germany is specified, for example:
- when you log in and your default delivery address is in another EU country
- when you specify a delivery address in another EU country as a guest solicitor
- when you change the delivery address to another EU country before completing the order
...the final prices (gross prices incl. VAT) of the items are automatically updated. It can therefore happen that the final prices of your order change before the order is completed.
