Searchlights and deck lights serve different purposes on board. Searchlights concentrate the beam for longer-range illumination, while deck and work lights illuminate working areas, foredecks, cockpits and superstructures. For commercial vessels, the range includes both fixed and portable lights. Depending on the task, a narrow spot beam or a broad floodlight distribution can be selected.
The TOPLICHT range includes LED and halogen lights for 12 and 24 volt electrical systems as well as multivolt models. Searchlights are available with below-deck controls or electric remote operation, allowing horizontal rotation and vertical adjustment. Hand-held searchlights provide mobile illumination and can be stowed within easy reach using a wall bracket. Deck lighting ranges from compact surface-mounted lamps to work lights intended for commercial marine applications. Relevant differences include luminous output, beam pattern, operating voltage, ingress protection and mounting arrangement.
The range also covers daylight signalling lamps as well as accessories and replacement parts for various types of searchlight. These include LED and sealed-beam inserts, halogen lamps, control units and brackets. Selected lights are supplied with MED, SOLAS or other product-specific approvals.
