Smaller boats at the North Sea and Baltic Sea are rarely entered via a ship's gangway. For larger traditional sailing ships the use of a safe gangway fitted with sturdy handles and removable stanchions is mandatory. Heavy vessels have a high freeboard and pulling closer to the pier is almost impossible. A non-slip boat gangway should be stable, light and easy to handle. Gangway for the inland marine according to DIN/EN 526 made from seewater-proof aluminium with an anti-slip tread from checkered plate steel, effective width is 40 cm.The gangway is floatable, shipping with one meter high detachable and lockable aluminium stanchions and double handrail on one side. The footbridge has two polyamide wheels on the shore side and on the ships side hooks.
