Description

The hot-dip galvanized VULCAN anchor is an evolution of the ROCNA anchor.

It offers the same excellent anchoring characteristics (high holding power, as well as fast and reliable digging in), but is more compact; its unique shank profile, along with the absence of a roll bar (which is unnecessary due to its design), ensure a particularly good fit in anchor mounts on the bow and swim platforms.

The anchor shank is made of high-strength steel. The special “I + V” profile provides additional reinforcement to the shank of the VULCAN anchor.

The anchor shank is not only “elegant,” but its “V” profile in the fluke area also accelerates the digging process. The V-profile acts like a plow and cuts into the seabed with its “sharp” edge.

The VULCAN features a unique combination of anchor shank, fluke shape, and an innovative “Roll-Palm” rolling edge. The rolling edge, in conjunction with the round anchor shank, functions like a rolling bar and always positions the anchor correctly.
The “V-Bulb” shifts the anchor’s center of gravity significantly downward and toward the fluke tip, aiding the embedding process.
The concave shape increases the fluke surface area—similar to the ROCNA anchor—which is partly responsible for its very high holding power.

There are attachment eyes for safety and recovery lines, as well as for a tandem anchor.

CAUTION: An anchor swivel must never be attached directly to the VULCAN’s anchor shank—otherwise, the anchor will not rotate properly and will not dig in correctly. A few chain links should be placed between the swivel and the anchor shank; these links should be attached to the shank with a shackle (see page 26 in the “User Manual” under “Downloads”).
